I woke up one morning this week and realized that I have come to terms with reality. This is slightly depressing.
-->Here's the Scoop<--
I am not a child anymore. I will never have another magical summer break for as long as I live. I have faced the fact that I have to work for the rest of my life and there's no lunch break to this job, people. No lunch break.
Looking into the past:
2 summers ago = part time job and part time fun
Last summer = 2 part time jobs
This summer = one full time job, one part time job, and one 300 level persuasive writing online class that still needs to get done
As the pattern suggests, for next summer I see an internship with no pay, long hours, and far away from home.
I have been molded into a middle class working American young adult who still has a lot to learn about herself. I have realized that this is just life. I grew up. I'm not a little kid anymore.
My real full time job after this summer? Life. Planning what I'm going to do for the next several years of my existence, watch it all change before my eyes, and start over again. Can't wait.
--> Another Realization <--
Growing is life! You can't grow stronger without trials and without hard work! You can't get stronger without experience! You can't grow without hard work. And you certainly can't grow if you have magical summer breaks your whole life.
My family will take one last family vacation with me at the beach and that will be magical. Can't wait.
